    Weekly Roundup (Updated)

Stories I marked during the week, but never got to writing about.

China’s UN Ambassador Asks the US to Shut Up

Not so much “asks” as warns that we had better. If you ever start to question what it would be like to live in Communist China, just remember this quote by Sha Zukang, the Chinese ambassador to UN,

“It is not a question of how big Taiwan is. Each centimeter of Chinese land is more important to us than lives of our soldiers.”

    Can you feel the love?

    Liberals eat their own

The poor libs, they worked so hard to get Lamont elected in a primary that it is going to cost them a seat. Now they are threatening Lieberman if he does not fall into step with their anti-war agenda.

Hey Libs, you where the one who made it a single issue race in the primary; you’ll just have to live with the consequences of a race that is voted in by more than just Bush hater’s.

Update. They are threatening their own people with sanctions. Best line in the story:
"...That is not democracy, that is not diversity." Kathleen Sullivan, the chairman of the Democratic Party in New Hampshire, about the democrats changes.

    Doomsday for Israel?

Do a search for "Night of the Sira’a and Miira'aj". The basic thought is the 21st -22nd is a very special day for Islam. That is the day that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said he would answer the U(seless)N on their nuclear program. Some people think that with his continuing threats against Israel, his obvious instability, and the “illuminating the night sky over Jerusalem” comment, he is planning on a nuclear attack.

Update. Looks as though Iran is attempting to explain troop movement to the rest of the world? War games or war on Israel?

    U(seless)N cries, "HELP US"

    Story.

The completely impotent U(seless)N is begging nations to help with the Hezbollah situation. "We are weak and can only write things on paper that have no force!!!!", said an, "UNNAMED SOURCE".

How sad the once powerful U(seless)N has fallen so far? A once loved,

    20/20 story

and admired force is no longer a viable solution to the world. With no Oil in Lebanon, and with Iran handling all weapons for the Hezbollahs (the french won't make a dime), countries are pulling out of the peace agreement they fought for. Luckily, Koffi has an ace up his sleeve.

Surely this man who has weathered the Oil For Food scandal and the rape of hundreds of people can pull them through. The Blue Helmets will find some way to show there presence besides leaving children fathered by rape behind!

Michael Moore stars in Iraqi propaganda film

Iraqi group uses Michael Moore film to mock Bush

Headline pretty much says it all. Michael, you made the list.

"After all, there are honest and influential guys in America and if Mr Moore can talk to you like that, so can I," the Rashedeen narrator says.

I think this brings out a good point. One that seems to never be noticed by the Michael Moore types and the terrorists who use his anti-American propaganda.

Mr. Moore does have the right to say things like that. Why? Because he lives in America, where we have rights.

He isn't from a country that requires the women to keep their heads covered.

He isn't from a country that kills each other because the believe different tenets of the same religion.

He isn't from a country that kills each other because they live in different states.

He isn't from a country that straps bombs to their teenage children to die.

He isn't even from a country that would kill or torture him because of his speech.

Somehow I believe the irony is lost on al Qaeda.

French run before even getting to Lebanon

French Offer Few Troops for U.N. Effort in Lebanon

Wow. What a surprise!!! France has finally figured out it is easier to not go to war than go and run away. As the main backer of the U(seless)N resolution, most people thought France would send a large compliment of soldiers to help defend Southern Lebanon. Which goes to show how ignorant the U(seless)N really is. France is only looking at sending 200 troops to the area; this number is cut in half as it takes two Frenchmen to fire a single rifle.

One to shoot, one to hide.

Jimmy Carter says OK to forget holocaust!!!!!!

    Story.

This is an interview he did with Spiegel.

Let’s go through this interview and give a few excerpts from Jimmy Carter. Once again these are comments made to a foreign newspaper, and yet he has the gall to say it is Bush’s fault that the world hates us, if he would shut his hypocritical pie hole maybe we could get some traction back, but with asses like him spouting the same anti-American slogans that the terrorists scream as they behead innocent people…….

But I digress, we’ll get to that.

When asked if comments he had made earlier suggested, “….that the current US administration of George W. Bush of acting immorally?”

He dodged by saying, “There's no doubt that this administration has made a radical and unpressured departure from the basic policies of all previous administrations including those of both Republican and Democratic presidents.”

What? How does that answer the question? Get off your liberal talking points and answer the question. “unpressured”? I know you are old, but 9/11 kinda put pressure on us all.

“Our country always had a policy of not going to war unless our own security was directly threatened and now we have a new policy of going to war on a preemptive basis.”

Yes, that means kill them BEFORE they ram airplanes into more buildings. He then rips on separation of church and state, he doesn’t say what the problem he has is, just, “…which I describe in the book.” Oh, this is a book tour interview. Followed by basic justice which, “…..I described in the book.”

He is then asked, “You also mentioned the hatred for the United States throughout the Arab world which has ensued as a result of the invasion of Iraq. Given this circumstance, does it come as any surprise that Washington's call for democracy in the Middle East has been discredited?”

Well the first part isn’t so much a question, but a statement, maybe German interviews are differe……Nevermind, our MSM people do it too. Ok back to the answers.

He says he thinks things are worse with, “….the United States supporting and encouraging Israel in its unjustified attack on Lebanon.”

What? Unjustified? HMMM…What am I starting to smell here, maybe a little anti-Semitism creeping into the conversation? I know your thinking, but Israel was attacked first! This is so obvious even the interviewer figures out to ask it.

“I don't think that Israel has any legal or moral justification for their massive bombing of the entire nation of Lebanon. What happened is that Israel is holding almost 10,000 prisoners, so when the militants in Lebanon or in Gaza take one or two soldiers, Israel looks upon this as a justification for an attack on the civilian population of Lebanon and Gaza. I do not think that's justified, no.”

Let me flip through the book here…one sec…..here it is, page 157 in the Hezbollah answers guide, “They have 10,000 of our peace loving, bridge building, supercallifragilistic(sp?) people. We just wanted 2 of their hate-mongering anti-Islamic bastards.” I see someone has been studying the jihadist manual.

He is then asked if the US is still important for mid-east peace.

“This administration has not attempted at all in the last six years to negotiate or attempt to negotiate a settlement between Israel and any of its neighbors or the Palestinians.”

Quick question dodge then there we go back on the anti-Bush rantings. Have you ever notice that Liberals love to mention Bush One when ripping into the President. As though that somehow makes it all right, “No I am not a liberal Bush hater, I mentioned his father’s name.” Actually, the UN was supposed to be enforcing the paperwork for the area.

He is then asked about possible solutions (This was done before the U(seless)N resolution.)

“….And I think they should declare an immediate cease-fire on both sides, Hezbollah said they would comply, I hope Israel will comply….”

Well the terrorists said they would do it, and we know we can trust them, if only those sneaky Jews would do it too. The smell is getting stronger!!

Asked about German soldiers participating in a peacekeeping mission, ”... even with their history?”

“Yes. That would be certainly satisfactory to me personally, and I think most people believe that enough time has passed so that historical facts can be ignored.”

There’s the smell, good and strong now. “…historical facts can be ignored.” So we can just ignore the holocaust? How much time needs to pass to just ignore 9/11, or 7/7? This single statement completely suns up the liberals entire point of….

IGNORE THE FACTS THAT DO NOT WORK WITH YOUR POLITICS

    But wait there’s more….

Asked about how a christian government could allow “…Abu Ghraib and torture in Guantanamo?”

“The fundamentalists believe they have a unique relationship with God, and that they and their ideas are God's ideas and God's premises on the particular issue. Therefore, by definition since they are speaking for God anyone who disagrees with them is inherently wrong. And the next step is: Those who disagree with them are inherently inferior, and in extreme cases -- as is the case with some fundamentalists around the world -- it makes your opponents sub-humans, so that their lives are not significant. Another thing is that a fundamentalist can't bring himself or herself to negotiate with people who disagree with them because the negotiating process itself is an indication of implied equality. And so this administration, for instance, has a policy of just refusing to talk to someone who is in strong disagreement with them -- which is also a radical departure from past history. So these are the kinds of things that cause me concern. And, of course, fundamentalists don't believe they can make mistakes, so when we permit the torture of prisoners in Guantanamo or Abu Ghraib, it's just impossible for a fundamentalist to admit that a mistake was made.”

Is it just me or did he describe perfectly the Islamic extremists? He is describing American Christians as though we go around killing people because they don’t believe the way we do. I don’t remember seeing any Jehovah Witnesses with bombs strapped to their bike. You are currently number one on my worse Americans ever list.

The interview goes on to talk about Cuba, his failed presidency, and the upcoming elections. One other thing that got me was when the interviewer said, “You've been called the moral conscience of your country.”

Luckily, like everything that comes out of his mouth, it just ain’t true.

    Enemies within.....

By Ehsan Ahrari . This guy is a joke. He takes his obvious left-wing, anti-american, pro-terrorist agenda, sprinkles in a little conspiracy theory from another whack job and presto, he has a story. A story he doesn't publish in America.

He bases all his assumptions and theories on SEYMOUR M. HERSH's theories. Who hides behind not revealing his sources, all of which are high ranking officials who know everything about everything. This from a man who says,

"Sometimes I change events, dates, and places in a certain way to protect people...I can’t fudge what I write. But I can certainly fudge what I say."

Hmmm...Protect people or protect his ideas? There isn't much difference in his fudging and the photoshop pictures in Reuter's.

    Border Patrol agents hands tied.

    Story

This is exactly what I said yesterday. Our own government is punishing our agents for doing their job. They not only take the word of a criminal, but forgive him for the actual crimes that were committed in this case.

"This is the greatest miscarriage of justice I have ever seen," Ramirez said. "This drug smuggler has fully contributed to the destruction of two brave agents and their families and has sent a very loud message to the other Border Patrol agents: If you confront a smuggler, this is what will happen to you."

What's the point of having a border patrol if they can't chase the criminals.

"How are we supposed to follow the Border Patrol strategy of apprehending terrorists or drug smugglers if we are not supposed to pursue fleeing people?" he continued. "Everybody who's breaking the law flees from us. What are we supposed to do? Do they want us to catch them or not?"

    Obviously NOT.

"It is a violation of Border Patrol regulations to go after someone who is fleeing," she said. "The Border Patrol pursuit policy prohibits the pursuit of someone."

This defies all logic. The district attorney who prosecuted this (Assistant U.S. Attorney Debra Kanof - United States Attorney's Office 700 E. San Antonio, Suite 200 El Paso, Texas 79901
Phone: (915) 534-6884Fax: (915) 534-6024 )) should be brought up on charges of aiding and abetting, making a false arrest, interferring with a investigation and being an idiot.

"What angers Compean most is a statement he says was made by prosecuting U.S. attorney Debra Kanof, implying his actions were a betrayal of his Mexican heritage."

Doesn't that make her racist? Which makes this a hate crime? Woohoo, she'll be going into bonus time.

This even has liberal bloggers mad. (Warning: Conspiracy theory that this is Bush's fault. Read at your own risk!!!!!!) It even has CNN saying it is wrong.

It seems the only ones winning in this story are the drug smugglers here and abroad and the terrorists walking in their footsteps. We had better lock and load or we'll all be wearing robes.

In case you missed it the first time.

Feel free to write, fax, call. It is OUR government even if they are protecting the enemy.

Too broad a statement, in MY opinion!!!!!!

Read this whole article By Heidi at Euphoric Reality. Really, I mean READ it, it is good.

I agree with most of it, except this part, "Those people shouldn’t be too hard to find, even for an inept ICE and INS ....."

I think that is too broad a statement. We need to look at the rules and regulations they must follow. ICE and INS are shackled by bad laws from the government. They CANNOT do their job as many, I would say most, want to do it.

Now I may be taking that statement to personally, but I have family in those agencies who hate the limits they have been given. It is not as though those agencies are full of Wal-mart employees that don't know what aisle toilet paper is on. They are filled with patriots who love their job, and see what is happening on a daily basis. They agree with the minute men on the border, they KNOW of things that would help to stop the flow. But until our congress and house gets it out of their head that PC is all they should do, nothing will happen.

Until those crooked bastards stop giving OUR rights to criminals, the agencies will remain hog-tied. You think the borders are porous now, wait until liberals control the government, who think of nothing more than punishing us for being American.

Added: The more I think about it. Many states have laws that if a person enters your house and you kill then it is self defense. Why can't we just shoot the illegals coming across the border. Bullets are cheaper than providing their education and healthcare.

Brit speaks his mind, and the TRUTH.

    Story

Wow. Do you think anyone could get away with saying that in the states and not be KOS blocked like Leiberman?

Lord Stevens basically said the muslims need to clean up their house, instead of blaming everyone else and acting like vicitms (cowards).

He also gives a great quote on profiling:

"Of course, there'll be instant squealings that this is racism. It's not," Lord Stevens insisted.
"It's exactly the same as recognising that, during the Northern Ireland troubles that left thousands dead, the IRA were totally based in the Catholic community and the UVF in the Protestant."

So I shouldn't go fishing in the desert. As long as we worry about upsetting one community or another we will never be safe.

    Say What?

    Nasrallah Declares Victory for Hezbollah

He does sound like a liberal, confused and giving no explanation for what he says. Notice how short this piece is?
    __________________________________________________________

    Of course, these

"Almost every day we have a case of parents asking to name their newborn babies after Nasrallah," one source said. "This reminds me of the days when Palestinians used to name their children after Saddam Hussein because of the missile attacks on Israel during the Gulf War."

are the people he is talking too.

The doctors reply by slapping the parents. Naming your child after Hussein or Nasrallah is kinda like naming your kid after John Kerry, sure people recognize the name, but only as a loser.
    ___________________________________________________________

    Hezbollah soldiers handing out leaflets.

    Two things:

    1. They have nothing better to do with their time as they have no rockets left to fire.
    2. If I where going to listen to someone, would it be the guy handing me a pamphlet while panhandling, or the guy flying a multi-million dollar plane? Hmmm, Islam gets me a bombed out mud shelter, Judaism gets me a jet.
    ____________________________________________________________

Lamont, a businessman newcomer to the political stage, told Fox News Sunday the Iraq war is not connected to the war on terror.

Unfortunatly, for the democrats, he went off script and added, "and the thigh bone is not connected to the hip bone."
    _____________________________________________________________

Hezbollah's impatience may have cost Iran the war

    Hezbollah...Hezbollah...Hezbollah....

You know that has to be what Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is thinking. After sinking literally billions of dollars and years into building Hezbollah up against Israel, Israel has all but destroyed them in a matter of weeks.

Sure all you see are the bodies of children being ferried from place to place, the massive amount of smoke coming out of buildings, and the poor lady who lost everything again and again and again.

What you don't see is the damage done to the internal structure of Hezbollah. They speak of the 13,000 rockets they had at the start of the conflict, and even the thousands they rained down on Israel, but what about all the ones which where destroyed while still on Lebanese soil? Where are the rockets that could reach Tel-Aviv? Where are the rocket launchers? Where are the Hezbollah stronghold's?

They lost the land they had in Lebanon, there is now going to be a buffer zone. They only have the right to discuss prisoner exchange according to the UN resolution. Lebanon is (finally) being forced to control their own country. They have destroyed Lebabnon with their fighting. They have ticked off Iran and Syria.

I really don't see where the upside to their attack is? They have seemed to fail in every one of their ambitions. And Iran by supporting them has failed too.

I wonder if we will see this report on 60 minutes?

    Thanks to Dreams into Lightning
