Quiz update 2 - All the answers (or the teachers edition)

Here finally are why (I guess????) these people are in the top searches.

    1. reichen lehmkuhl - Won the third season of the amazing race (a great show) and is gay and good looking.

    2. lance bass - Yes, see this.

    3. mel gibson - Yes. Mad Max was really just mad at the Jews.

    4. harold reynolds - A baseball analyst for ESPN who was fired for sexual harassment.

    5. landis - Yes. Won the Tour de France, then was caught doping.

    6. michelle wie - Yes. Golf Lady (girl? person?).

    7. jesse metcalfe - He is in a new movie (John Tucker Must Die) and is a top 10 celebrity for an online gay magazine (it was the second thing that came up on a google search of his name!)

    8. H5N1 - Yes. Bird Flu anyone?

    9. scarlett johansson - Lots of movies including 7 new ones. I should know her name as she has been in lots of movies I have seen.

    10. vanessa minnillo - Still not sure. Google search gave some MTV pictures, but nobody said who she is or what she does.

    11. miami vice - Yes. New movie coming out. Think I'll wait for PPV.

    12. gong li - Chinese Actress

    13. brittany snow - An actress in John Tucker must Die. That's two for that movie, and I still have not heard of it.

    14. andrea yates - Yes. She killed her kids and got away with it after being convicted.

    15. daniel radcliffe - Harry Potter in the movies.

    So here are the results:

    2 gay people
    3 sports people
    8 movies or actors
    2 current events

This definately says something about the people randomly searching things. I'm just not sure what.

    Rules for Un-employment

With the bad news from AOL about employee cuts (one of many stories here), I have decided to try and put my two weeks of knowledge about unemployment on-line to try and help these individuals.

    1. Start a blog praising KP Cubed with links to it.

    2. Leave your house/apt/cave everyday. Take a walk to the store, go to the mall, divide your grocery shopping up into many small trips. Cabin Fever is not just a plot element for a Simpson's episode (wiki here).

    3. If you have time (and haven't already) marry a wonderful woman who puts your happiness above everything and is able and willing to work so the family isn't homeless and starving. (I love you Honey!!!!!!)

    4. Keep an eye out for signs of depression. I am not talking about, "I am going to kill myself depression." Just not wanting to do anything. Here are a few warning signs:
    a. Not answering phone calls or e-mails.
    b. Watching anything written/produced/starring Oprah.
    c. Not reading KP Cubed everyday.
    d. Thinking about that time in high school when......
    e. Not eating enough.
    f. Eating too much.
    g. Worrying about the amount you are eating.
    h. Starting to think that maybe the Libs are right.

    5. Take all your extra money and put it into AOL stock, it will probably skyrocket from the layoffs.

    6. Bathe and dress everyday. This helps get your blood going and gives a sense of normalcy and purpose for the day.

    7. Put your resume EVERYWHERE. There are hundreds of job sites that you can post on for free, you never know which one will work. (This is assuming you want to goback to working)(Love you honey!!!!!!!)

    8. Look into doing some charity work. This will make you feel good about yourself. The added bonus is if it gets bad enough you know where to go for shelter and free food.

    9. READ something everyday (like KP Cubed), don't cut yourself off from the world or allow negative liberal news to make you feel hopeless about the economy (they just want to enslave you with welfare), it REALLY is doing great.

    10. Keep the house clean, do the laundry, the dishes, cook dinner (especially if you have #3 (Love you Honey!!!!!!)). It is easier to feel better about yourself with a clean environment.

These are just a few ideas to help you get through the hopefully short time before you find your next employment. Remember this is an opportunity for greater things to happen in your life.

    John Kerry Speech

Here is a great story from http://blamebush.typepad.com. One of my favorite blogs.

I am still trying to figure out exactly what he is doing in the picture. The only thing I can think of is he hates President Bush so much he is berating actual bushes. Blaming the leaves for the war in Iraq. Or he may have mistaken the rustle of the leaves for applause.

I think the speech would have gone better if he would have had a buffet.

    How the Mideast affects Russia

Story : I found this VERY interesting. It shows how the Russians have much to gain from the war in the middle east. Besides the money gained from selling arms (and we know they do) to the Syrians and Iranians, they will earn money from the extra export of oil.

Now, I know that the Russians are saying they want a cease fire between Israel and the Hezbollah terrorists, but they are not really PUSHING for it. It goes against there best economic interests. This just shows how every country is looking out for themselves.

Hopefully, by allowing drilling in the gulf (if we don't some other country will) we can lessen our dependence on not only Middle east oil but Russian oil too.

    Test on most popular searches

OK. Here is a test for you today. How many of these people (or things) have you heard of? This is from http://www.google.com/zeitgeist which pulls search patterns together.
I'll give which one's I knew and the answers later.

    3 Presidents - 3 Different Stories

US President is Healthy: ABC Story, MSNBC Story - I don't think 5lbs is a bad weight gain, and I am sure he appreciated the hearing loss so he doesn't hear from his many detractors.

Cuba's President is Unhealthy: BBC Story, ABC Story - Everytime he sneezes people think this could be the time. I am not really sure what will change once he does die. Does anyone really believe that the country will suddenly go "Oh, Castro isn't here. I guess we'll become a democracy", yeah right?

Iran's President is Absolutly Crazy: USA Today Story - Here we go again. The UN saying they don't like what someone is doing, so they are going to write a paper about it.

Israel Winning Battle But Losing PR War.

    Story here

I think he is right on.

It is obvious to the casual observer that the media has chosen sides in this war. Though the death of civilians is a sad truth of war, there have been deaths on both sides.

Is Israel to be held to a higher standard than the terrorists they are fighting?

    Evidently, the answer is YES.

    Just like the US.

The difference being Israel doesn't give a damn what the rest of the world thinks. They aren't caught up in their social position in the UN, but in defending their country and values from a force that has nothing but their complete destruction in mind.

I think we could all learn a lesson from this we should have learned in bible school. That following our values is more important than how others percieve us.

If the UN jumped off a cliff would the US? I know Israel wouldn't.

Added Trackback for others to link to me.

commenting and trackback have been added to this blog.

I would like to say I spent hours researching all my options, but I didn't. The service is free and works as advertised. They also have an automated wizard for loading their service into Blogspot.

I already used it for one trackback and then checked. It worked perfectly.

Yes Virginia, we have them on our side too!!!!

Right-Of-Center Bloggers Select Their Least Favorite People On The Right (2006 Edition)

Of course, this is only a small percentage of the people who where asked.

I can't say I disagree with the list, I am surprised Sean Hannity is not on there. I don't see much difference in his interviewing style and O'reily's. I also find it interesting the mix of types of people, from Radio & TV hosts, government officials, bloggers and preachers.

The scary part is all these people in someway have massive control over people. Many of them are self-appointed front men for conservatives. It was nice to see however that many right of center people have common sense, and I guess in the long run every side needs it kooks to help pull tide slightly off center.

The UN is way out there now.

    The UN says what?

"The US should immediately shut all secret detention facilities used in its campaign against terror groups, the UN Human Rights Committee has said."

How do they know we have "secret detention facilities"? Wouldn't that make them non-secret facilities if the UN knows about them? It's like saying "Stop all secret negotiations with aliens."

It puts the US in an unwinnable situation. It is not possible to disprove a negative.

The UN then tells us we did not do a good job after the Hurricanes. We had a couple thousand people die after a MAJOR Hurricane hit a MAJOR City. How many times do we here about a minor eathquake hitting a goat farm and tens of thousands of people die elsewhere in the world, at which time the US is supposed to rush aid there.

"It said the US should increase its efforts "to ensure the rights of poor people and in particular African-Americans are fully taken into consideration in the reconstruction plans with regard to access to housing, education and health care". "

In other words. "Embrace our socialistic ways." I guess since they are unable (unwilling) to do anything to help the African-African people, black americans will have to do.

They also say we should not have the death penalty. Now I know the Supreme Court has emboldened the UN by using other countries laws to tear down our own rights here, but do we really want the UN writing our laws now.

Luckily the UN is a powerless organization. I see no reason why we should listen to the crooked lies anymore than any other country.
